Recipes written by a registered nutritionist & traditional Chinese medicine practitioner
Every recipe on Nourilo is published under the Nourilo name and written by a registered nutritionist and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner. We have spent years studying how everyday foods — clear soups, herbal teas, congees and home-cooked dishes — have traditionally been used to help the body feel balanced and well, and we work to carry that heritage faithfully to home cooks everywhere.
How these recipes are made
Dishes are adapted and translated from an established body of traditional Cantonese home-cooking and food-therapy writing, then reorganised, clarified and quality-checked for an English-speaking audience — keeping the original ingredient wisdom intact while making each step easy to follow. The collection now spans 2,303 recipes.
How we talk about wellness
As a health-focused site, Nourilo uses careful, honest language. Foods are traditionally enjoyed, commonly associated with, or often turned to as part of a balanced, mindful diet — described for culinary and informational interest, never as medical treatment.
